Download Gencraft

Gencraft is a normal installed app for Windows 10 and 11, macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Linux. You do not need to install anything else.

Looking for the latest release...

    First start

    System What to do
    Windows Run the installer. If SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, choose More info, then Run anyway.
    macOS Open the disk image and drag Gencraft to Applications. The first time, right-click the app and choose Open.
    Linux For the AppImage, make it executable (chmod +x Gencraft*.AppImage) and run it. The .deb installs with your package manager.

    Check that your download is genuine

    Every release lists a SHA256SUMS file. Compare the checksum of your download with the line for that file.

    On Windows (PowerShell):

    On macOS and Linux:

    shasum -a 256 Gencraft_x.y.z_universal.dmg

    The two values must be identical. Updates inside the app are signed, and the app refuses an update whose signature does not match the key it carries.

    After the first install the app updates itself. Choose how often it looks, once, in Settings, General, Updates: every day, every week, every month, or only when you click Check now.
